En ny studie visar att ett ämne i grönt te som heter EGCG hindrar zikaviruset att komma in i i cellerna (om jag förstått det rätt "_A group of researchers supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation in Brazil found that EGCG, a polyphenol present in green tea, inhibits in vitro the entry of a Brazilian strain of the Zika virus into host cells._")

Det ger hopp om ett sätt att förebygga zikaviruset.

Forskarna säger däremot att det är en lång väg kvar innan det går att användas mot viruset i praktiken
